Vision offers a number of partial scholarships each year. Full scholarships are not part of our regular distribution; the only full scholarships we award are occasional giveaways. We distribute funds as they become available, and continue throughout the year, as we often have donations to our scholarship fund right up to the close of registration.
To request a scholarship, please complete our Scholarship Request Form when you are in a position to complete a registration. We also offer Discounts to qualifying individuals.
Please do not request a scholarship if you are unsure whether you are in a position to accept it (for example, are able to afford travel costs, arrangements for childcare, etc.)
Please Note:
- Scholarships are typically limited to one per household (including married couples).
- Recipients of full scholarships and winners of giveaways are not eligible to receive any kind of scholarship for the next conference year.
- Recipients of partial scholarships are likewise not typically eligible to receive scholarships for the next conference year, though some rare exceptions apply.
- Scholarships are generally limited to Standard, Economy, or Basic Economy double or triple rooms. Scholarships do not cover Deluxe rooms or single rooms, except at the discretion of the conference director. Any relevant stipulations are clearly stated in the award email.
- Due to the number of requests, there is a 48-hour acceptance window after a scholarship is offered before monies are returned to the scholarship pool for redistribution.
- Also, due to the number of requests, once you have accepted an award and your scholarship code is generated, you have 48 hours from generation of the code to complete your registration before monies return to the scholarship pool for redistribution.
- If you are offered the amount you request and do not register, you are ineligible for scholarship funds for the current conference year.
- Scholarships are distributed in the order they are requested, according to amount requested. This means, for example, that if someone requests a $1,000 scholarship, then another person requests $500 in scholarship funds, and we receive a donation of $500, the second person will be matched with the available funds. If two people request an amount for which funds become available, the first person to request the scholarship who meets the criteria will be awarded the scholarship.
- Scholarships are not “stackable” with other discounts or offers.
- Scholarships are not transferable to anyone other than the person to whom the scholarship was formally offered.
