To staff each conference, we use a mix of personal invitations and an open application process, all of which happens in the spring of each year for the next year’s conference. Hand-invited faculty are reserved for anchor roles, including Mentors, Speakers, and Major Morning Track faculty, etc., and these spots are not available through the application process.
We hold open applications for both other Full and all Adjunct Faculty, however. Full faculty have greater teaching/conference responsibilities, including multiple workshops/round tables, attendee appointments, critiques, and a greater number of meal table hostings. Remuneration includes travel, lodging, meals, and a stipend (amount depends on the specific role).
Adjuncts typically teach one or two 50-minute workshops, host fewer meal tables, and can take fewer appointments. They are free to attend all that the conference has to offer. Remuneration includes a per-workshop stipend, and a discount on registration. We are particularly interested in qualified Adjunct faculty with unique skillsets/topics applicable to the whole writer … craft, yes, but also marketing, business, health, spiritual, and practical topics.
Our application process is conducted solely through an online portal, links to which are published when the window opens. We do not accept direct/via email applications at any time.
