These are the Terms and Conditions applicable to the Vision Christian Writers Conference Online Silent Auction (August 2026)

  1. All bidders must be aged 18 or over. By placing a bid, you are declaring that you are at least 18 years old. Any bids found to have been placed by someone under 18 will be rejected.
  2. The MIINIMUM bid accepted will be $1. Any bids below that will be rounded up to $1.
  3. For all lots that have more than one available, if you do not specify a quantity, it will be assumed that you are bidding on just ONE. For example, if you bid $100 for Lainey La Shay’s article review but do not enter a quantity and you win, you will pay $100 x 1 = $100. If you specify a quantity greater than one, the bid you place will be considered to be the amount you are bidding for each of them. So, for example, if you place a bid of $100 and specify a quantity of 2, you are bidding $100 x 2 = $200. $100 each.
  4. We will only accept bids placed using the official online bidding sheet form.
  5. Bidding will close August 31, 2026.
  6. Any bids placed after 11:59:00 PM on  August 31, 2026 Pacific Time will be rejected.
  7. At the end of the auction, the highest bidder (or bidders) in each auction will be notified via email.
  8. In the event of a tie for the highest bid for any lot, the first bid placed will be the winner. Should the bids be placed at the exact same time (to the same second), the joint winners will be contacted and asked if they want to submit a higher bid. If so, the highest updated bid will be the winner. If a tie continues, the winner will be drawn randomly by the conference director, Robynne Miller.
  9. You may bid on as many items as you like but you will be obligated to pay for each and every item bid on that you win.
  10. You may choose to transfer any item you win to any person you designate.
  11. You may choose to remain anonymous in the list of “winners” which will appear on our website, or opt to have your first name and last initial appear on that list.
  12. All bids and sales are final and binding.
  13. Winning bidders must pay the amount bid at the end of the auction. The Lot is not won until the highest bidder has paid for the lot (or lots) in full.
  14. Winning bidders will be invoiced within 48 hours of the end of the auction and payment must be received within 48 hours of the invoice being sent, otherwise the bidder forfeits the lot or lots.
  15. If we are unable to contact a winning bidder due to an incorrectly entered email address, the lot will then go to the next highest bidder.
